provides high endurance versus sweat and water for the sport enthusiast and
active individual who want protection that will stay on while they play on.
Banana Boat® Sport is perfect for the sweatiest outdoor activities with a very
high UVA/UVB protection and 4-hour water-resistance so that you can protect the
fun.

Directions For Use
Apply
liberally to all exposed areas - about 7 teaspoons (35ml) per average sized
adult. Wait 20 minutes before you head into the sun. Reapply every 2 hours or
more often when sweating and or immediately after swimming or using a towel.
Cover
up with a hat, long-sleeved shirt and sunnies.
Stay
cool and find shade especially between 10am-3pm.

- Butyl
Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone): Avobenzone provides UVA
protection but has low biodegradability and can produce harmful byproducts in
water. It is not reef-safe and has been shown to accumulate in the environment.
- 4-Methylbenzylidene
Camphor (Enzacamene): This UVB filter is persistent
in the environment and can bioaccumulate in marine life, affecting coral reefs
and fish. It is also an endocrine disruptor and non-biodegradable.
- Octocrylene:
Octocrylene is commonly used for its stability and broad-spectrum protection,
but it has high persistence and can bioaccumulate in aquatic ecosystems, posing
risks to coral reefs and marine organisms.
- Bemotrizinol:
This broad-spectrum UV filter has low water solubility, so it is less likely to
accumulate in water bodies than some other chemical filters. However, its
long-term impact on marine environments is not fully understood. It is
currently regarded as a safer option among chemical UV filters.
- Phenoxyethanol:
This preservative is generally seen as a safer alternative to more
controversial parabens. However, it is not readily biodegradable, and high
concentrations in aquatic environments can be toxic to marine life.
- Hydroxybenzoates
(Parabens): Hydroxybenzoates are
biodegradable but are known endocrine disruptors and can impact aquatic
organisms. Although they break down relatively quickly, their hormonal activity
can be harmful even in small concentrations.
- Benzoates:
Benzoates are generally considered safe for humans and are somewhat
biodegradable, making them more sustainable compared to some other
preservatives. However, they still pose some toxicity risks to aquatic life in
high concentrations.
- Citronella
Oil: This natural essential oil is biodegradable and
considered safe for the environment when used in small amounts. Citronella oil
is commonly used as a natural insect repellent and has relatively low
environmental impact compared to synthetic ingredients. However, it can be an
irritant in higher concentrations.
